PCA professional superficial chemical peel solutions used for cosmetic chemical peels in Plano

Professional exfoliation for renewed, radiant-looking skin

Chemical peels use a professional-grade exfoliating solution to help resurface the skin's outermost layers and support a smoother-looking, more even complexion over time. At Z Aesthetics & Wellness, the peel is selected according to your current skin condition, tolerance, recent treatments and goals.

Our approach is corrective but conservative: the goal is not to create the most visible peeling possible, but to choose an appropriate superficial peel that supports your skin safely and consistently.

How often are chemical peels performed?

For the light or superficial PCA peels offered at Z Aesthetics & Wellness, treatment is commonly spaced approximately every 2–4 weeks when performed as a corrective series. A series of 3–4 treatments may be appropriate for some clients, while others may benefit from a longer 4- or 6-session plan.

Your exact schedule depends on the peel selected, your skin response, seasonal sun exposure, home care and the concern being addressed. Medium-depth and deep peels are not offered as part of this esthetic service.

What can I expect during treatment?

After consultation and preparation, the selected peel is applied in a controlled manner. You may feel mild warmth, tingling or light stinging during application. Sensation and treatment time vary by formula and individual tolerance.

What can I expect afterward?

Temporary redness, tightness, dryness, sensitivity or light flaking can occur in the days following treatment. Some superficial peels produce little or no visible peeling. Visible shedding is not required to have a treatment response.

  • Do not pick, peel or scrub flaking skin
  • Use gentle cleanser and moisturizer as directed
  • Pause retinoids, exfoliating acids and other irritating actives until advised
  • Use broad-spectrum SPF consistently
  • Avoid excessive heat and other potentially irritating procedures during the recovery period

How often can I get a PCA chemical peel?

For the light or superficial PCA peels offered at Z Aesthetics & Wellness, treatments are commonly spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart when performed as a series, depending on the formula used, your skin response and your goals.

Do you offer medium-depth or deep chemical peels?

What should I avoid after a peel?

Follow your personalized aftercare instructions, avoid picking or scrubbing, pause irritating actives until advised, keep the skin moisturized and use broad-spectrum sunscreen consistently.
